Nathan Dains
I am currently a Producer/Director for the Department of Instructional Technology and Academic Services at the Office for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (formerly Continuing Studies), I teach media courses for the Department of Journalism & Creative Media at the College of Communication & Information Sciences, and I work with the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band producing video media.
I recently earned an MFA in Film & Television at SCAD in Atlanta, and I currently hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Telecommunication & Film from the University of Alabama.
I hosted jazz music programming at Alabama Public Radio for 2 years as an undergraduate, and served as Associate Director for the 2008 Alabama Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Alabama Public Television and the Center for Public Television. In 2017, 2018, and 2019 I ran the production portion of the Aspiring Filmmaker's Workshop and since 2019 have served as a judge for the Black Warrior Film Festival.
